With the hoopla surrounding last year's Sherlock Holmes move, 2010 also has it own offering, albeit with a bit of a deviation from the standard A.C. Doyle fare. Asylum Movies, who previously brought a standout movie feature last year (well, so it was "Mega Shark versus Giant Octopus", but it was a standout to some, I'd say), will be releasing "Sherlock Holmes" straight to DTV (that would be "direct to video"), but not exactly certain when the release will be. I have heard differing release dates (the two most common being this past Tuesday, the 26th, and Friday, the 29th).
Regardless, in this theatrical version, Sherlock Holmes will fight time travelling dinosaurs in Victorian London, along with "Steampunk Armor" donned by the legendary Spring Heeled Jack. I am *certain* that it will fly off the shelves, so do yourself a favor and reserve a copy of this masterpiece to go along with that Guy Richie production.
